This Privacy Policy describes how Arvo AI (“Arvo”, “we”, “us”) collects and processes information when you use the Arvo app.

Data We Collect

Account information: email address and display name.
Voice recordings: temporary audio captured during sessions for real-time processing. Audio is streamed to Hume AI and is not permanently stored by Arvo after the session ends.
Session transcripts for session history and progress tracking.
Emotional expression metrics derived from prosody analysis.
Usage data such as session frequency and practice duration.
Device metadata such as device type, OS version, and timezone.

Third-Party Processors

Hume AI — emotional expression analysis (hume.ai/privacy)
OpenAI — transcript analysis and feedback generation
MongoDB Atlas — cloud database hosting
Firebase — authentication, push notifications, and Firebase Analytics (anonymized usage statistics)
RevenueCat / payment provider — subscription and billing handling

Data Sharing Disclosure

We do not sell your personal data to third parties. Data is shared with the third-party processors listed above solely for the purpose of providing Arvo’s features.

Cookies and Tracking

Arvo uses Firebase Analytics to collect anonymized usage statistics. No advertising trackers are used.

Data Storage Location

Your data is stored on servers located in the United States (MongoDB Atlas) and processed by third-party services based in the United States (Hume AI, OpenAI). By using Arvo, you consent to this transfer of data.

Data Retention

Voice audio is streamed in real time and discarded after processing.
Transcripts and scores are retained while the account remains active.
Data is deleted within 30 days of account deletion request completion.

Your Rights

Access your data through the export feature in the app.
Correct your profile details at any time.
Delete your account and associated data from profile settings.

Deletion of Your Data

You can request deletion of your data at any time through the Delete Account option in the app’s Profile section. Deletion is processed within 30 days and includes all personal data, session history, voice recordings, and progress data.

Children’s Privacy

Arvo is not intended for children under 13. If we discover we have collected data from a child under 13, we will delete it as soon as reasonably possible.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the app or via email. Continued use of Arvo after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
